Camellia sinensis
Vegetal Origin. Our botanical active ingredient is obtained from the petals of camellia flowers (Camellia japonica) from Jeju Island in South Korea.
With its powerful antioxidant properties, it is able to considerably limit the action of free radicals. Behind its anti-wrinkle effectiveness – which has been demonstrated by in vivo clinical tests – is an increase in collagen synthesis, which helps to improve skin density. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, enabling it to soothe skin irritations. With its proven ability to reduce insensible water loss (IWL) and help rebuild the skin barrier, our Japanese camellia extract noticeably improves skin hydration. It makes an excellent skincare ingredient for all skin types, from dry to oily, and mature, sensitive and dehydrated skin.
